I recently moved to a new house, where the north corner of the house is below the stairs and it is a room where we keep shoes and jackets. Is this is a feng shui problem. I lost my job after I moved to this place. There is a light inside that room. Do I have to turn this light on? Next to that rooms door is the main door and the maindoor is facing north and towards northwest. Northwest is a not well kept graden. Please help/ Also advice how to improve my husbands aswell as my career.

Unless the north of the house is facing a negative external feature which point directly to the main door, there should not be a problem. However, the year of the rat has a certain bearing which conflict with your main door. The Grand Duke is not favorable to the resident of the house who may happen to be you.
